The Irwin family’s home, Australia Zoo, is initiating an NFT project to conserve wildlife. This magnificent wildlife theme NFT collection will exist on Algorand, the carbon negative blockchain, thanks to Meadow Labs.
The project will include a series of NFT drops to commemorate the Wildlife Warriors’ 20th anniversary. Each of these drops will feature a different species from the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.
The NFT collection at the Australia Zoo will help to safeguard threatened and endangered creatures.
Wildlife Warriors is an animal conservation organisation founded in 2002 by Steve Irwin and his wife Terri. Its primary purpose is to engage and educate others on the need of rescuing injured and threatened wildlife. Furthermore, all proceeds from the NFT will benefit Australia Zoo and the Wildlife Warriors.
“At Australia Zoo, we’re always open to innovative solutions that can help us continue our Wildlife Warriors mission,” stated Robert Irwin. We’re excited to support any innovation that can aid our conservation efforts, especially one that shares our vision of safeguarding the globe. We can keep battling because of this green chain and new technology.”
It’s also fantastic to see Australia Zoo employing NFTs to aid animals. They’re also a good fit for the NFT sector, as there are a lot of animal PFP initiatives in the Web3 arena. Many large NFT projects, in fact, assist animal charities through donations, events, and other services.
