Coinbase has just announced its ambitions to make a three-part film highlighting NFTs, despite the development of its own NFT marketplace being at the forefront of its rumour mill for some time now. More specifically, the NFTs featured in the video will be those associated with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) brand, including Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, and ApeCoin.
The Degen Trilogy will be the title of the film, and it will include interactive and engaging features that Coinbase hopes would attract a billion people to the crypto world with the support of the very influential BAYC brand. The project’s production will be handled by Coinbase’s entertainment division, while the crowdfunding will be handled by the BAYC NFT community.
Despite the lack of a release date or a production schedule, Coinbase has indicated that it will allow community members to live the life of a Hollywood star through their NFT, with Bored Ape owners being encouraged to submit their ape for ‘casting.’ The business then claimed that in the second installment of the film series, Mutant Ape owners will be asked to submit their NFTs.
Coinbase has also confirmed that the film will include some type of ApeCoin; but, without this knowledge, anticipating the film’s premise is nearly difficult at this time.
